Diesel fuel is compression-ignition (Diesel) engines fuel. The refinery in Bratislava only manufactures low-sulphur Diesel fuel (10 ppm maximum content).
Special additives are introduced to the end product in order to improve efficiency of the fuel:
- An additive increasing the fuel's cetane number and, in consequence, improving the fuel combustion properties.
- A lubricant additive developed so as to minimise abrasion of the injection pump and injection systems. It extends the engine's life.
- Antistatic additives prevent the risk of static electricity during refuelling, increasing Customers' safety.
- Anti-foaming additives and additives reducing losses during pumping.
- Water-resistant emulsifier protecting against moist contamination and improving engine performance.
- Anti-corrosion additive protecting a car's engine and fuelling system, extending the engine's life.
- Antioxidant preventing gradual fuel oxidation during long-term storing. It maintains steady fuel quality, thereby increasing engine power.
- Winter Diesel fuel type containing a special additive improving fuel liquidity in even very low temperatures, which prevents paraffin crystallization.
- A winter additive, that is, an additive improving fuel properties in low temperatures by decreasing fuel filtration temperature limit.
